The project reimagined the building’s central atrium as a striking four-story gathering space, anchored by stacked meeting and community spaces. Updated finishes, lighting, and a new tenant lounge helped modernize the environment while creating opportunities for tenants to connect, collaborate, and gather.

The result was more than a refreshed lobby. The transformation created a new focal point for the property and introduced an amenity experience designed around the people who use the building every day.

Building Within an Active Environment

Renovating an occupied property brings a unique set of challenges. At ISTP, construction had to be carefully coordinated around active laboratory and office environments, with minimizing disruption to tenants as a priority throughout the project.

Working within these constraints required thoughtful planning, close coordination, and adaptability throughout construction. The central atrium and lounge were renovated while maintaining the ongoing operations of the property, allowing the transformation to take place without losing sight of the tenants and researchers who rely on the space.
