BIG Construction provided construction management services to First Industrial Realty Trust for the renovation of their suite from a white box state to include a new reception area with revised lighting, a break room and new carpet and paint. Openings were cut for all offices to have framed glass openings, allowing light into the interior office.

During construction, a neighboring tenant renovation cut the power and data runs for a portion of First Industrial’s space. Communication between BIG, the design team, and the client was essential to mitigate the possible consequences of this unforeseen issue and keep to the client’s tight ten-week schedule. By working with the landlord, we found the best new path to reroute new cabling through the elevator lobby.
