When Pregis subleased a half floor from Kearney, they engaged BIG to demo and build out the space to fit their needs and brand. An important aspect of the project was salvage and reuse of systems and furniture that had been redesigned into the space by Whitney Architects as part of the budgeting process.
Although aspects of the space where salvaged to save on cost, all finishes were new to Pregis, fitting their brand. Wood and metal grid feature walls greet visitors in the elevator lobby and are reflected in the reception area. Ceiling fan boxes were reused, but relocated, in order to meet the new design layout of the exposed ceiling.
As the leaser and neighbor, BIG treated Kearney as part of the team. In order to split the floor, a base building corridor was added so all occupants have access to the freight and elevators. BIG completed a separate punchlist for Kearney as this work touched their space.
Demo and build out of a subleased space, reusing systems and furniture with new finished fitting the company brand.
